Group Chief Executive
£75,000
Ferguslie Park is an important place in Scotland and is known much further afield. It recently received an unflattering mention in The New York Times https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/16/world/europe/scotland-independence-paisley.html
Our senior officer will understand that this role is about good housing and much more; that it brings an opportunity to make a difference and build a reputation. The Scottish Government and the Local Authority want to work closely with a leader who has the ambition and the talent to make things happen.
The Housing Association has recently completed a 2 year period of re building compliance with the Scottish Housing Regulator's standards of governance & financial management. For a few years in its long history the association lacked the leadership it deserved. When the report on statutory intervention is published we will receive more unwanted attention and residents will want reassurance that once again Ferguslie Park's notoriety is in the past. Our senior officer will be able to demonstrate exactly that.
The right person will relish the challenges of this post and we will support them with the opportunity to build a new management team which has the same enthusiasm and determination to keep moving forward. The new team will inherit a framework for good governance and financial management that will support excellence for years to come.
Our Group Chief Executive will have the knowledge and skills to provide an excellent social housing service; will be hands-on in leading, developing and inspiring the staff team and in nurturing productive relationships with local people and other partners. They will take a strategic view on the cooperation of the 2 companies in the Group to achieve the group vision of realising the full potential of Ferguslie Park. They will have integrity, energy and staying power.
They will also have the great pleasure of working in a neighbourhood where the community spirit is legendary and people are always ready for a good laugh.
