Working for Scotland’s third largest city you will play a crucial role in driving Aberdeen City Council’s ambitious plans for delivering change and improvement. As Depute Chief Executive you will work closely with the Chief Executive as we enhance the way we do our business and how we behave as an organisation. With Directorate responsibility for Finance, Legal and Democratic Services, HR and Customer Services and Commercial and Procurement Services, you will be at the centre of the agenda helping to deliver a Smarter Aberdeen.

As Head of City Planning you will have a rare opportunity to play a key part in reinvigorating a city already well established on the world stage.
You will develop and implement medium and longer term environmental and transportation strategies ensuring a holistic approach to the future development of the city by working in partnership with local communities, the private sector and other public bodies.
