Right There are a charity guided by the belief that everyone has an equal chance to create a safe and supportive place to call home – not just a roof over their head but a place where they feel protected and accepted. Formerly YPeople, they work to prevent people becoming homeless and separated from their loved ones, for children and adults who are living with the effects of poverty, addiction, or broken relationships. They provide tailored support and form trusting relationships to help people feel happier, safer, and more confident to live their lives.

The key focuses for Right There:

  • For People: Providing counselling, mentoring, and family relationship support to those at risk of social inequality.
  • At Home:  From emergency accommodation to housing support – providing safe and supportive places to call home.
  • In the Community: Equip people to live independently and build stronger community connections.

Right There are looking to appoint new trustees to their board. Supporting the Chief executive and the Chair, the new trustees will help to ensure Right There meets its charitable objectives. They will develop and network effectively, building positive relationships with the leadership team and existing board members. This includes carrying out ambassadorial responsibilities to develop Right There’s profile to stakeholders.

We are looking for individuals with a strong passion for the values of Right There: compassion, respect, integrity, aspiration, and reflection. Relationship building and networking capabilities as well as diplomacy skills are sought after. You will be a great listener and have senior management or professional experience within the public, private or third sectors. Understanding of business transformation or finance would be desirable. We would also love to speak to individuals from the following sectors:
