Services Events Coordinator – (1 year Maternity Cover)

Myeloma UK is a leading charity dealing exclusively with this type of blood cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow. The organisation helps myeloma patients live longer and with a better quality of life, providing a broad and innovative range of services which cover every aspect of myeloma, from providing information and support to patients, their families and healthcare professionals, to improving standards of treatment and care through research, education, campaigning and raising awareness.

Reporting to the Services Event Producer, the Service Events Coordinator will be responsible for delivering the patient and family myeloma and AL amyloidosis information events programme, assisting in strategy development for the programme and implementing event activity with the aim to increase participation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating all events to inform future planning, including monitoring associated income.
• Line manage the Services Event Administrative Assistant, supervising their input to events as well as other Services programmes.
• Ensure joint working and communication with other Services Team members.
• Contribute towards the planning and delivery of the charity’s strategic operational and departmental plans.

You should have experience in event management, project management and a clear understanding of the charity sector.
