HETA (Humberside Engineering Training Association) is a not-for-profit charity ‘Group Training Association’. Established in 1967 by a group of local companies to bridge the gap between industry and education. HETA is renowned as the leading Engineering training provider in the region.

Their expertise centres on an ability to understand the needs of a business and to be able to design and deliver a training solution to meet those needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales & Marketing specialist to join HETA at an exciting time in their growth plans. Reporting to the Chief Executive this role will focus on maintaining the demand for apprenticeships and growing their commercial business across the Humber region, nationally and internationally. The successful applicant will be able to switch between strategic and operational duties and manage a team of account managers and external agencies to support the marketing and communications function.

The successful candidate will be an experienced sales and marketing professional who knows how to effectively promote the organisation and drive a commercially focused team. The role is part of the strategic Leadership team so you will be influencing the key decision making process. In turn this forms part of the wider management team.

The ideal candidate will be someone who firstly understands engineering and manufacturing-this doesn’t mean that you will have a technical background but more importantly can credibly empathise with their clients’ training needs and turn them into solutions.

You will need solid interpersonal skills to manage a team of account managers and other colleagues to ensure we achieve our goals. The job has freedom and flexibility and the successful candidate will be able to ‘make it their own’ by shaping the scope of the role. With a commitment to providing excellent customer service and identify continuous service improvements, you will have the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines. You will also have high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent analytical, numeracy and literacy skills.
