Salary: c.£30,000 dependant on experience.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day to day running of the business by managing the firm’s administration team and by providing support to the firm’s Branches, Branch Managers and Directors. This role is an important one to ensure that the business runs smoothly and that company-wide strategy is being implemented throughout the firm.  

The main areas of work include:

•           Human Resources

•           Recruitment

•           Company Strategy and Policies

•           Company compliance / Audit management

•           Health & Safety management

•           Management and Board Reporting

•           Day to day managing of the business and offices

•           Ad-hoc varied duties as required

The role is based at the head office in Edinburgh but as part of the role it is expected that the Operations Manager will visit the other branches on a regular basis and maintain communication with the team of Branch Managers.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience of working in an office based role(s) and possess the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and have excellent attention to detail. The Operations Manager should actively lead and enthuse the administration team and provide support to all members of staff. Strong communication and delegation skills are therefore required.  Excellent typing skills and telephone manner are also necessary and agricultural knowledge / background is desirable.
