Fife Sports & Leisure Trust provides facilities and services for participation in sport, recreation and physical activity to the communities of Fife.  The Company is a not for profit distributing organisation, limited by guarantee, which requires that any surpluses generated are invested in improving facilities and services to the communities of Fife. The company makes a positive difference to communities by creating opportunities for people in Fife to become more active more of the time. This is achieved by the services delivered from sport centres, swimming pools, outdoor facilities and an athletics centre.

The Head of Sales and Commercial Development is a newly created post and will have overall responsibility for developing the business interests of the FSLT; opening up new opportunities for income generation and establishing key contacts in the private and public sector to support ongoing growth.  The role will report to the CEO and will be responsible for managing and leading the Sales and Commercial Development functions to ensure a co-ordinated and consistent approach to the delivery of demand generating services, ensuring that they are operated to the high standards within available resources to deliver FSLT’s strategic objectives. The job holder will be directly responsible for the Marketing and Design Team, Sales and Membership Team, Membership Admin Team, Operations Resource Team and Wellbeing and Programme Team.

The ideal candidate will have a track record in managing and developing business activities to maximise income generation and utilising assets to develop and implement new business streams that generate income. Experience of financial and business planning and budget management will be essential as well as identifying and obtaining sponsorship and other sources of funding. You will be a strategic thinker and passionate about leading a culture that encourages new business ideas with a strong customer ethos.
