This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced specialist to join our client at an exciting time in their growth cycle. Reporting to the Production Director and leading a dedicated team of four, you will deliver and drive the organisation’s site development and strategic vision with a 10 year production timeline to achieve a planned net gain in biomass. Coordinating site development plans across each region and driving a local engagement agenda in line with the plans, you will be liaising with external and internal engagement stakeholders as appropriate.

There will be a focus on the continued development of people, systems, policy design and processes to achieve ‘best in class’ and compatibility with the wider objectives of the organisation.

Through a respectful, constructive and energetic leadership style the Head of New Site Development will provide the vision necessary to ensure that the organisation complies with planning and environmental legislation. You will actively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation, supporting the growth and development plans and confidently responding to verbal and written consultations in public, stakeholder, local, regional and national governmental forums and liaison groups.

The successful candidate will have experience in environmental planning, management and regulation work.  You will be confident, approachable and able to communication at all levels of the business.  Experience of leading and managing challenging planning application processes, responses and public consultations will be essential and you will possess excellent spatial planning analytical skills.
