Group Organisational Development and HR Manager

POLHA Group, includes the parent company and Registered Social Landlord & charity, Port of Leith Housing Association, and three wholly owned subsidiary companies; a private rented sector letting agent, Persevere Developments Ltd (PDL), a social enterprise company with the remit to guide the Group’s placemaking aspirations, Quay Community Improvements CIC (Quay CIC), and a multi-trades repairs and maintenance company, TB McKay Energy Services (TPM). The Group currently employs around 200 people.
POLHA Group play an important role in the ongoing regeneration of Leith & North Edinburgh by providing excellent affordable homes and life changing services aiming to achieve brilliant communities in the Leith and North Edinburgh, working with customers and other partners to make the area an even better place to live, visit and do business.
Reporting to the Director of Group OD & Placemaking, the primary purpose of the role is to effectively lead and manage staff delivering organisational development and human resource management support services across the Group in line with the organisations 21st Century leadership principles. Through leadership across the organisation the role holder will make a positive contribution to creation and maintenance of an organisational culture in line with the Groups values.
You will be able to provide high quality advice to management on both organisational development and human resource management matters and display a track record (typically 3 years +) of effectively managing a team of mixed specialist staff. Having gained your professional body membership, you will have an up to date understanding of key organisational development concepts and tools and techniques to support organisational development.
In addition, you will be able to lead, motivate and empower staff and promote a culture of employee engagement and empowerment. You will have highly developed communication skills with the ability to present in a positive and persuasive manner. With high attention to detail, you will be solution focussed and pragmatic, confident, highly organised and be able to deal with changing priorities.
