Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance

Location: Glasgow, with flexibility

Salary:  circa £65,000

Recognising the need for a national transformation of social care that delivers sustainable and impactful services, we present an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Executive Team. As we implement our COVID Recovery Roadmap and deploy our 2021-2026 Strategic Plan, we seek a senior Quality Assurance and Compliance professional aligned with our ambition, who is passionate about our goals and capable of leading the strategic delivery of our Quality Assurance and Excellence plans.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance will lead a programme of internal audit, quality improvement, stakeholder involvement and excellence that will support the organisation for the next phase of its evolution, putting our staff and those who use our services at the heart of what we do.

The successful candidate will play a significant role in leading on our quality improvement and engagement planning response through the ongoing pandemic and will contribute to the deployment and revision of our plan as we address the financial implications that arise from the Covid-19 situation. To achieve this, it is imperative that our Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance builds on existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including our EFQM quality partner, the people we support, our staff, families, natural networks and community assets, Care Inspectorate, National Improvement forums and other HSCP colleagues and teams.

The successful candidate will operate at a strategic level and will deploy resources that ensure benchmarked standards are maintained across the organisation, with opportunities for excellence and continuous improvement maximised in the context of social care transformation and reform. The ideal candidate will have a track record in deployment of improvement and excellence frameworks and an in-depth knowledge of governance, regulations, social care and leadership skills.
