The Mungo Foundation is a provider of social care and support for vulnerable people in Glasgow, West Central Scotland and beyond. Their mission is to improve and enrich the lives of the most vulnerable people in these communities through their charitable work.  At any one time, they run around 40 different types of project, delivering support to over 1,500 individuals, their families and communities.
 
The Mungo Foundation now seek to find a new Finance Director to provide trusted advice to the CEO, Senior Management Team and Board and to lead in the development of the strategic and financial direction of the organisation.
 
Key responsibilities will include –
 
  • Overall control of the organisation’s accounting and finance function, ensuring that financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
  • To establish a high level of credibility and develop and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders including Funders and Regulatory Bodies.
  • Day to day management of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, licensing; hosted solutions and telephony are managed via our commissioned support.
  • Ensuring that financial policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and implemented accordingly, so that the organisation delivers best practice and high-quality business partnering.
  • To direct and manage the Finance Team, developing the vision for Finance.
 
The successful candidate will have a track-record in leading and motivating people, delivering change, working with governing bodies and relevant experience in the areas of financial strategy, accountancy, business planning and governance.
