Job Description

You will lead our vision for an innovative whole system approach to housing and wider services which promote inclusive growth and recognises the role that housing has as a catalyst of health and well-being for individuals and communities. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the Council, be externally focused and deliver positive outcomes for our communities.

We’re committed to ensuring that the delivery of quality services is at the heart of our communities as set out in our five year Business Plan for 2019 – 2024. We are looking for you to join the Chief Executive and senior team in implementing the Business Plan and delivering our ambitions for Stirling.

Requirements

You will be a highly effective communicator and team player, a strategic thinker and experienced senior manager and you will have consistently achieved. You will reset the Housing Service culture, policies and processes to one which is person centred, and focused on prevention, inclusive growth and community wellbeing outcomes for existing and new communities. This will involve collaborative work with other Council services, Community Planning Partners and other external partners to develop and implement successful housing, inclusive growth and community well-being strategies.

Analytical skills and astute political awareness and understanding are needed, together with a commitment to customer-focused public services. Working with our communities and public, private and third sector organisations, as well as colleagues and teams across the organisation, you will build and develop relationships to deliver improvements for the benefit of all our citizens.
