Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP) is an exciting joint venture between Michelin, Dundee City Council and Scottish Enterprise. Its strategic goal is to establish a unique Innovation Parc that will drive growth and diversity in the Scottish economy while helping to address the global climate emergency.

Situated on the site of the former Michelin manufacturing plant in Dundee, covering 32-hectares, MSIP will become a world class facility, supporting the creation of at least 850 sustainable jobs including advanced manufacturing, developing the skills and workforce of the future and creating breakthroughs in sustainable mobility and low carbon energy.

The MSIP will provide modern high quality industrial space and facilities to a wide variety of organisations, operate a large Skills Academy for the benefit of tenant companies and the wider region, build and operate Innovation facilities taking ideas from the drawing board to manufacture and create a community focused on addressing the challenges facing our people, place and planet.

Our current Chief Executive has secured the legacy left by the Michelin Tyre Company and created a 10 Year Strategic Plan fully funded by the three join venture partners. A number of businesses and leading Universities have already committed to being part of this new venture.  Having completed the foundation of the MSIP, the CEO is moving to a new role and we are now looking to recruit a new leader to continue to drive the strategic vision of the Parc and to create a truly world leading centre for the development of Sustainable Mobility Innovation and Technology.

Demonstrating sound credentials in advanced manufacturing, our new Chief Executive will lead a talented team on the construction of the Parc and the creation of its key partnerships, its promotion, evolution and delivery of its values, business goals and 850 sustainable jobs in Dundee.

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic leader, someone with ambassadorial and inclusive leadership, together with collaborative stakeholder engagement skills, commercial acumen, and evidence of sound political awareness.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to listen, engage, persuade and present complex information to diverse audiences.  A proven track record of accomplishment in multifaceted environments will be important together with commercial understanding, negotiation and marketing skills.

Experience of working in the low carbon, sustainable transport, or circular economy sectors would be a distinct advantage but not necessary. You will come with a passion for and commitment to tackling climate change and net zero carbon emissions.
