Erskine Care Homes provide veterans with the companionship of like-minded people. Erskine not only cares for our veterans – we care about them.

Erskine’s person-centred care is tailored to the needs of each individual veteran. All bedrooms are equipped with full disabled access and en-suite facilities. Our recreation facilities provide social activities, entertainment and organised day or evening trips which are of huge importance to our residents’ health and wellbeing. In addition, cottages for veterans and their families have been a feature of the Erskine 80 acre estate for many years. Our Service personnel display the highest levels of bravery and courage throughout the world, and it is only right that Erskine is there for them should they need support in the future.

To help us build on the first class care provided, we are seeking a Chief Executive to provide strategic leadership and management to the organisation. Working with the Chair and Board of Trustees, you will ensure there is an emphasis on high standards of care and people management, developing and maintaining key relationships and meeting financial targets in challenging times. This important role offers an opportunity to use your business and leadership skills to make a powerful contribution to our continued effectiveness and brand strength.

You will have an impressive track record at Director level or above in a service orientated or charitable organisation. Experience of change and risk management is essential. Our staff are a key asset and your integrity and inclusiveness will allow team development to drive continuous improvement and excellence.

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills are a must, together with the confidence and credibility to engage with a range of external relationships. Knowledge of the care sector and / or a military background will be beneficial but not essential. The ability to lead and inspire this important charity ensuring governance and financial stability will be crucial.
