Children 1st is Scotland’s National Children’s Charity. The organisation helps Scotland’s families to put children first, with practical advice and with support in difficult times. And when the worst happens, they support survivors of abuse, neglect, and other traumatic events in childhood, to recover.

The organisation is now seeking to appoint a Chief Executive to lead the organisation and provide strategic direction to its staff, volunteers and supporters.

As Chief Executive you will deliver on strategic objectives as approved by the Board, manage Children 1st’s resources and advance the organisation’s position and reputation as one of the leading independent child welfare organisations in Scotland.

You will have effective and demonstrable management skills with experience of leading high performing teams as well as excellent communication skills. You will ideally be well versed in dealing with the media and be a confident ambassador for Children 1st. You will have the political and business acumen to lead and influence change for the benefit of Scotland’s children.
