Salary: £55,171 – £57,943 (EVH Grade 9)

Ardenglen Housing Association is a highly successful, award-winning organisation.  A community-based housing association established in 1990 operating from a modern office in Castlemilk who own and manage over 980 homes with 22 staff at its core.  Priding themselves on being recognised as a community anchor they are committed to the ongoing physical, social and economic regeneration of the area, with customer services, innovation and kindness at their core.

Ardenglen is now looking to recruit a new Director of Asset Management to join the senior leadership team. The new Director will lead the Assets team to deliver highly efficient asset management strategies and procurement activity for the Association and its tenants. Leading on all planned and reactive maintenance services, the new Director of Asset Management will also hold overall responsibility for health and safety within Ardenglen HA and ensuring Ardenglen meets and complies with the Energy Efficiency Standards for Social Housing (Phase 2). Under the role, you will also be leading a small team therefore 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience is required.

As a result, you must have a sharp eye and focus on maintaining and improving existing services. At the heart of Ardenglen’s cultural focus is a need to ensure that the new Director of Asset Management is proactive and engaged with people. You should be willing to take risks to think outside the box to put customer service excellence and value for money at the forefront. You need to be someone who prides themselves on ensuring quality and building effective relationships with partner organisations and within your own team. You must understand data management regulations and have a background in performance management such as being able to effectively monitor performance, analyse processes and maintain SHQS and EESSH 2 expectations all while supporting Ardenglen’s ambitious 5-year investment plan.  A proven track record in managing high value contracts and effective contract management is essential.  You will be an excellent communicator; you should be approachable to your team and tenants and be able to effectively communicate on paper through writing and presenting reports on a regular basis. Above all, you will be committed, people driven person, energetic for change and supportive of those around you as well as the wider social regeneration of the Castlemilk area.
