Aspen Interim Winter Drinks
written by Nicole Hughes.
It’s been a week since Donogh O’Brien, Kate Kennedy, and I had the pleasure of hosting Aspen People’s Interim Drinks event at Browns Restaurant in Glasgow. I was delighted to see numerous Interim candidates whom we have had the pleasure of working with over the past few years and many I’ve had the opportunity to meet or speak with over the past few months. Donogh and Kate really enjoyed meeting with them too. With 23 executive attendees spanning diverse sectors and industries, including Interim CEOs, Marketing and Communication leaders, to Finance Directors and many more, the event proved to be a resounding success. Feedback from a survey completed by some attendees highlighted their enjoyment of various aspects of the event.
“Thoroughly enjoyed meeting other experienced leaders who are either operating an interim portfolio career or thinking of doing so. Lots of good swapping of experiences and general discussion.”
“The informal, relaxed nature of the event was enjoyable, and lent itself easily to a series of chats and conversations which were useful networking opportunities.”
“Chance to meet people who undertake Interim work and hear about their experiences in carrying out Interim roles.”
Aspen Interim offers individuals capable of providing support for short-term, long-term, fixed-term, or rolling-style contracts. We specialise in fulfilling business-critical interim roles, including positions such as CEO, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Project Management, as well as Transformation & Turnaround. At Aspen Interim we identify high-quality candidates for Interim roles within six key specialist sectors. In each sector, we can demonstrate a genuine depth of knowledge and a broad range of experience.
People consider interim contracts for various reasons, and the decision is often influenced by both personal and professional factors. Here are some common reasons why individuals opt for interim contracts:
- Flexibility: Interim contracts offer a flexible work arrangement, allowing individuals to have more control over their schedules. This flexibility is particularly appealing to those who value a better work-life balance or have personal commitments.
- Transition Periods: People may opt for interim contracts during transitional periods in their careers, such as between permanent roles, after retirement, or during career shifts. Interim positions provide a bridge during these transitions.
- Project-Based Roles: Interim contracts are often project-based, attracting individuals who thrive in project-oriented environments. These roles can be fulfilling for those who enjoy seeing the tangible results of their efforts within a defined timeframe.
- Professional Growth: Interim contracts offer opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth. Professionals may choose interim roles to stay challenged, adapt to new industry trends, and remain at the forefront of their fields.
We look forward to hosting another Interim event in Spring 2024, keep a look out for further information.
