Director of EDINA
Salary £73,206 – £85,609
ISG at The University of Edinburgh is seeking to recruit a Director of its EDINA division.
EDINA provides a range of services, platforms and products that underpin national and international scholarship and research. Examples include Digimap, the prize-winning geospatial platform used by over 5000 schools and the majority of UK universities and colleges, and Notable, a leading computational notebook software platform used by UK schools and universities. EDINA is also currently working on a number of AI products for first usage within the university, including the Edinburgh Language Model, a Generative AI innovation platform, and a chatbot platform.
The Director will provide strategic leadership, vision and management for EDINA and its c. 60 staff, as well as being responsible for the EDINA annual budget and 5-year strategic business plan. They will identify, develop and secure external funding and partnerships to support the national and international services, platforms, products, best practice advice and projects. The Director will ensure EDINA’s services are services are sustainable and self-funding.
As part of ISG’s senior management team, the EDINA Director will contribute to the University’s mission, and provide leadership and ensure close collaboration across ISG and the wider university.
