The Role – Trustees (x3)

Montrose

Non-remunerated

With a vision to strengthen their diversely skilled and committed Board, Rossie are seeking three dedicated individuals to join their Board of Trustees, playing a vital role in the stewardship of their institution.

Make a Difference: As a Trustee, you have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of young people who have faced abuse, trauma, health issues, or deprivation. Your commitment can help nurture and educate them, instilling belief and resilience.

Strong and Caring Leadership: We understand the importance of strong and caring leadership. By becoming a Trustee, you contribute to the governance that ensures the institution maintains the highest standards of excellence, providing the necessary support and challenge.

Commitment to Excellence: You’ll be part of a team that believes in excellence in performance. Your willingness to ask questions, balance challenge and support, and contribute to good governance will be crucial in maintaining the high standards they set.

Patience, Resilience, and Passion: Changing young lives requires patience, resilience, and a passion for making the world a better place. If you have these qualities and a desire to contribute positively, we want to hear from you.

The Rossie Young People’s Trust are particularly interested in individuals with experience or expertise in one of the following areas:

  • Education
  • Law
  • Finance
  • Mental Health
  • Youth Justice
  • Social Care

Some governance experience, whether in the private, public, or third sectors, is desirable, although not essential and induction support will be provided. Some understanding of the Scottish political scene, education system, and regulatory bodies would be beneficial. A genuine wish to improve the lives of young people is essential.

We encourage applications from all sectors, reflecting Rossie’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equality.
