Govan Housing Association are an ambitious and community-centred social housing provider serving the historic Govan area for over fifty years. A riverside district known for its traditional pubs and red sandstone Victorian buildings, Govan blends the old with the new, from the conversion of old tenement buildings into modern living spaces to old shipyards being renovated into cultural and entertainment centres. The housing association provides more than 1,600 homes to the local area, as well as providing a range of other services and community initiatives.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Govan HA to appoint a new senior officer. This position will hold the title of Group CEO, reflecting the growing complexity and ambition of the organisation. Govan HA not only provides social housing, but, through two distinct subsidiaries, engages in a range of other operations to empower and serve the community. The Govan HOME team deliver repairs, maintenance, and landscaping, while The Water Row Company are responsible for a variety of commercial endeavours, including Mid-Market Rent, factoring, and commercial leasing. The Group CEO will manage all aspects of the organisation and its subsidiaries, providing clear leadership for Govan HA, championing growth and maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Experience of a social housing provider is highly desirable, where this is not possessed significant evidence of transferability must be provided. Candidates will possess strong senior leadership experience, and will demonstrate ability to work at both a strategic and operational level. Familiarity of reporting to a board or management committee is also useful for potential applicants.
