Head of Curriculum

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the Head of Curriculum opportunity.

I took up my post as Principal three years ago and it now feels like we have truly arrived at a pivotal point in our development. We are reshaping our curriculum management structure so that we will be better placed to deliver the high-quality education and training which are needed to support our economy and the sustainability of our diverse rural communities. Our staff have a passion for this because our graduates and their impact are immediately visible to us across the localities where we all live. There is a real connection.

Argyll, Bute and Arran offer a great place to live and work across our small towns, villages and island communities. The scenery is stunning and there is a wealth of opportunity for you to carve a lifestyle which suits you.

We are, however, a very different sort of college. We have only been in existence for just over twenty years, but we have been in the vanguard of connecting remote learners digitally throughout that period. We are also a part of the University of the Highlands & Islands which means that we are a uniquely tertiary institution offering opportunities in FE and HE right up to postgraduate level. We work very closely with schools in our area, and we are increasingly using digital technology there too.

We have big externally funded projects in the mix such as the Marine Industry Training Centre in Oban (as part of the Argyll Rural Growth Deal) as well as ambitions to create a new building in Dunoon.

If you see yourself as being a key part of the next step in our development, then we would really like to hear from you.
