Celebrating Success at Aspen People: A Year-End Reflection and a Look Forward to 2024
As we approach the end of another fantastic year, we look back on the successes and milestones of Aspen People. This year has brought notable achievements in various areas of the business for us, and as we navigate the change in the job market this year, we wanted to provide insight into our sectors and a look ahead at 2024.
A STRONG YEAR ACROSS ASPEN
Our expertise has resonated across our six key sectors. The placement of exceptional talents and the cultivation of strong professional relationships have been at the heart of our success. Take a look below to check out several areas of growth within Aspen:
- Education – as Number one on the APUC framework, Team Education, led by Director Donogh O’Brien has grown significantly, particularly within the Higher Education field. Delivering high calibre professional service and academic roles has been a highlight for the team this year including senior appointments with the University of Edinburgh, Cardiff University, SRUC and Strathclyde University.
- Non-Executive – 2023 has seen significant development in the work we do in the Non-Executive category across all our sectors. The importance of search to Chair and trustee appointments cannot be underestimated and we understand the importance of finding someone who fits the values of the organisation, affinity to the cause and experience to drive strategic goals.
- Interim – Building on our achievements of the previous years, we welcomed Nicole in June to lead the expansion of our candidate database and cater to our clients’ interim requirements. Our interim activities this year have seen considerable success, with our successful hosting of our first Interim Drinks event. As we reflect on these accomplishments, we eagerly anticipate further growth and triumphs in 2024.
- Emerging Leaders – Alongside our senior executive roles, we are often contacted by existing clients who have sought our guidance for middle management positions they have had difficulty filling on their own. This has developed in the programme of ‘Emerging Leaders’ – bringing the same principles and methodologies that guide our senior-level searches to these middle-management roles, ensuring a strategic and thoughtful approach.
NEW FACES OF ASPEN
This year has seen a growth in the Aspen team, adding new members who bring a fresh perspective and added experience.
- Nicole Hughes, Senior Consultant – Bringing a wealth of recruitment experience to Aspen, Nicole spent 7 years sourcing and recruiting at various levels and joined as our new Interim Consultant, focusing on opportunities across all our sectors.
- Scott Sinclair, Digital Marketing Manager – Previously working at UWS and the British Basketball League, Scott brings fresh insight and renewed vigour to our social media and marketing campaigns.
- Scott Partyka, Finance Manager – Scott brings over 10 years finance experience to support the Directors
