MHA are pleased to be appointing a new Asset Manager who will be the strategic and operational lead for MHA’s asset management. This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation during a dynamic growth phase with an expanding team. There is an abundance of opportunity for fresh ideas and new challenges for the post holder who will join the team in driving the delivery of quality community housing. The successful candidate will contribute to the strategic leadership and development of the organisation, and work closely with the Chief Executive to lead on the asset investment and management strategy for the organisation.
The role will include leading the asset management team to deliver outstanding management of all of MHA’s properties across the areas of maintenance, repairs, investment and compliance in addition to ensuring tenant satisfaction. The asset manager will also work with key partners and stakeholders locally and nationally, together with City of Edinburgh Council and local community organisations to build an even stronger reputation for MHA as an excellent housing provider and key contributor to the wider community services in Muirhouse.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in some of the areas of asset management and investment, repairs, maintenance, facilities management, property services or residential projects. Experience of managing a team and managing contracts and contractors is preferable. Direct RSL experience is not essential although transferability to the sector must be demonstrated in application. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and comfortable working in a small team to deliver big outcomes.
