Board recruitment campaign

Welcome

These are exciting times at Social Investment Scotland (SIS). Over the last 21 years, we have deployed over £116m in 400+ social enterprises and mission-driven businesses across the UK and grown to a position where our customers touch the lives of at least 4.3 million people each year.

We published our ‘Building an Impact Economy’ strategy in early 2020, but never expected that this would be against the background of a global pandemic. In March 2022, the SIS board endorsed a second action plan, ‘Turning up the Volume’ which reflects our aim to be bolder and more confident in our impact economy vision.

Our work and impact is supported by a fantastic board who bring their knowledge, experience and strategic vision from a variety of sectors, united by their passion to build SIS’s impact across Scotland and beyond. We are now looking for a new Vice Chair (and Chair designate) to join us at this critical time for SIS and the wider social investment sector. Alongside this appointment, we are also recruiting for a number of new trustees to join our board. The SIS team are supported by a fantastic board who bring their breadth of knowledge, experience, and strategic vision from a variety of sectors, and what unites them is their passion for SIS’s impact across Scotland’s communities.

We look forward to hearing from you.
