Communication and advocacy is at the centre of Carnegie UK’s work. This includes influencing decision-makers, businesses, politicians, non-government organisations or civil and public services. Carnegie UK are now looking to appoint a new Head of Communications who will play a vital role in delivering their strategy. Part of the broader leadership team, the new Head of Communications will be strongly connected to all strategic and operational discussions within the organisation. This role will balance strategic communications with a hands-on approach; supported by a communications officer. The Head of Communications will synthesise media communications and engage with as well as build and maintain relationships with journalists. They will lead Carnegie UK’s first communication strategy with a range of creative communication techniques.

The right candidate will be a creative and experienced communications expert with an understanding of campaigns and public relations. Their strengths will lie in the communication of evidence and ideas; an understanding of academic analysis, or a background within social policy is desirable.  Carnegie UK are a values-led organisation with a strong people culture that actively seeks and promotes a culture of continuous improvements to ways of working by balancing innovation and risk to maximise impact.
