Welcome

A very warm welcome and thank you for your interest in the role of Vice Principal People and Transformation.

This is an exciting time to join our college as we embark on the next phase of transformation to support the delivery of our strategy – Ambition 2025. This is a new post, and you will be joining a relatively new Executive Leadership team that are passionate about the opportunities we can provide to our students and for our partners as we continue to create real impact for the local economy.   The college sector faces a number of challenges but also significant opportunities to improve how we operate. We are excited about our future and our strategy clearly maps out ambition to build on our success and places students and staff firmly at the heart of everything we do.

As Principal and Chief Executive, I am focussed on leading the organisation to ensure we are doing the right things in the best way possible.  This includes positioning us to make the most of the opportunities with new and existing partners, leading, and driving a programme of continuous improvement and a culture where we value and empower our people, to achieve the best outcomes for our students, staff and wider stakeholders.

As VP People and Transformation, you will lead the next phase of our transformation ensuring that our staff and students are digitally equipped to work and study in new and flexible ways, and that we have a joined-up approach to workforce planning ensuring the right skills in the right place as part of our long-term sustainability. You will lead the development and implementation of the People and Culture strategy and ensure that our newly co-create College Values are embedded in all our activities. You will oversee the Digital roadmap implementation and ensure that our staff our supported to work well and continue to learn and implement the lessons from the Covid-19 pandemic. You will lead both the People and Digital Services teams but also have corporate responsibility for cross-college transformation programmes.

We are a values-driven organisation, and we are determined to create a culture that encourages and nurtures staff and student voice to inform thinking and decision-making. We are passionate and confident in our strategic and financial planning with a positive mind-set where we view challenges as opportunities.  To ensure our continued success we require the right level of knowledge and expertise within the senior leadership team, to support the delivery of Ambition 20225 and beyond.

We are seeking positive, experienced leaders who know how to build a strong team and can-do culture within the organisation. We need someone that is both strategically capable yet operationally adept. We value experience but more importantly enthusiasm and an engaging style of leadership. We need a self-directed, creative and solution-focussed individual, with a proven track record in building relationships, empowering, developing, and motivating teams to always get the very best from people.

If you believe that you fit this profile and are professional, accountable, respectful, and kind, and would like to join us on our journey to be one step ahead, we would love you to consider applying.
