A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly created senior role as Data & Information Manager within the Council. In this key role you will take ownership for the Council’s Information as an Asset strategy. You have the responsibility to deliver the key outcomes within the strategy through the creation of a flexible delivery function with a remit for Information architecture and integration, plus development of key business intelligence capabilities and methods.

By working with business and other key stakeholders, you will be able to combine strategic vision with the delivery of operational results for the business. Through the application of proportionate governance and current and emerging methodologies, you will refine and deliver key data and information capabilities, while managing risk appropriately.

To do this, you will need to be educated to degree level. You will have a passion for data and information and be a champion of the benefits it can bring to an organisation. You will have a clear understanding of how to rapidly take on the strategic outcomes and build a flexible team to deliver them. You will strive for excellence through clear prioritisation, effective delegation and timeous delivery.

You will be a methodical self-starter who is able to form positive relationships and deal with people confidently. You will need to have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, problem solving and organisational skills and be able to make change happen by inspiring, motivating and influencing others.
