Development Officer – Scottish Borders Housing Association

Created by Tenants for Tenants. SBHA is a leading Social housing provider based in the Scottish Borders, delivering excellent housing services for their tenants. The organisation is currently taking forward an exciting development programme which will result in more high quality affordable homes within the borders area. Customer service is top priority for SBHA and we have received repeated recognition for our effective delivery.

The organisation is one of Scotland’s largest housing associations and operates as Charitable Registered Social Landlord. SBHA owns 5,662 properties and has a turnover of £21m. Our purpose is to provide affordable homes for the local communities and deliver social impact in the borders through effective services, our teams make a difference to peoples lives everyday.

This role holds responsibility for the co-ordination of both funding and delivery of the development of new, affordable housing projects. This will include a mixture of new build and refurbishment works, expanding the communities within the borders and increasing the number of affordable homes in the area. Our development plans are in place to deliver social impact and change lives through providing families and tenants with high quality homes. This is a development role which will have a great impact on the rural areas and communities of the borders.

We are looking for an individual who will bring the customer-focused ethos that is at the heart of SBHA. The scope of the role requires candidates to be educated to HND standard or equivalent, and we are keen to hear from candidates with proven experience of detailed budget management and control as well as experience in the building development process.
