The University has an ambitious plan to redevelop the campus following the acquisition of the adjacent Western Infirmary site and will invest over £1bn by 2025.

The Head of Projects – (Existing Campus Redevelopment) will be responsible for the delivery of the £350m plus capital expenditure related to the Gilmorehill and Garscube Campuses as well as at other individual off campus locations. The post holder will appoint and manage consultants and contractors, securing all statutory approvals, sequencing of work and ensuring proactive and effective programme management of the works. The Head of Projects will work with the University SMT to ensure that the quality and delivery of the new developments meets the needs of the University, supports the achievement of University goals and that synergies across other institutional campuses are maximized. 

The post holder will lead a process of continuous improvement in the delivery of the construction projects and infrastructure, looking across all sectors for learning and taking best practice in the industry to integrate into the delivery. This role will also act as a key interface between the University and the Lead Advisor and Construction Work Frameworks, developing a partnership and collaborative ethos.
